Alseny Sylla, known as Pascal

Pascal was born in Fria, Republic of Guinea, on 20th February 1969. His father influenced him from an early age to enjoy and learn many styles of music, but he was really only interested in rhythms and beats, not the lyrics. Pascal looks back with fond memories of the times he spent with his father.

In his early twenties, Pascal left Africa and moved to Belgium. His love of music grew stronger as he got older, not just African but all styles of music.

Pascal is only truly happy when he is involved in music in some way and he started to dabble in writing his own songs. He also went into partnership with a friend to open their own nightclub in Belgium but unfortunately for personal reasons the club never opened. The love for music was planted and Pascal moved to the UK to further his dream of having his own studio and make a better life.
